Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on October 2, 1869 and died on January 30, 1948

He worked to end poverty for India and spread peace around the world. He is known to stand up for people’s lives and would break away from society to the extremes.

He lived a simple life wearing woven clothes that he made himself.

Gandhi led nationwide campaigns to ease poverty, expand women’s rights, build religious and ethnic amity.

His whole life was evolved around civil disobedience. He stood up for what he believed in in a non violent way. He was big in protesting against war and would fast for days on end as a way of protest.

He was later assassinated by extremists due to his way of life and standing up for what he thought was moral and just.
