Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Born January 15, 1929 and died April 4, 1968

Martin Luther King was a Baptist minister and a cvil rights activist. He also tried to end poverty and support anti war protests.

he is best know for being an outspoken leader against segregation by using non violent acts by following the teachings of Gandhi.

he constantly gave public speeches and his most famous one, the “i have a dream” speech. He also made a public speech against the war in Vietnam that caused a lot of controversy across the country.

He supported any other civil rights activists that were non violent and he later worked with Rosa Parks.

In 1968 he was assassinated by James Earl Ray in Memphis Tennessee.
